Made It MONDAY "Victory Is three small letters T R Y!"

http://4thgradefrolics.blogspot.com/
Hello! Happy Monday. I am linking up with 4th Grade Frolics for another fabulous Made It Monday!

Made It #1
back to school, common core, critical thinking, postivity, quotes, bell work, homework, writing center, wrting, critical thinking
Each quote promotes dreaming, trying, making mistakes, following your heart, and being a good person!
As  a kid, I would always look around my classroom and read the quotes on the wall. It made me feel inspired and made me happy when someone I admired said something I believed. I think it is important to instill core values in our students. Teaching them the power of failure, helping others, believing in one’s self is a powerful tool that isn’t in the standards. One reason I became a teacher was to lift my students up and encourage them to dive into this world with an open heart and a curious brain. I encourage my students to speak from their heart and they can change the world.
Each quote is accompanied by 4-5 Common Core questions that make students THINK! The questions are created for all ability levels. There are 16 quotes. Do whatever works best for your class. This would be great for bell work, character education lessons, early finishers, a writing center, or homework. I have also included a list of songs to promote positive thinking. Last but not least, a fabulous children's literature list for inspirational messages.
quotes, back to school, motiviation, bell work, homework, character education, writing, reading
My favorite quote from the pack!

 Want to know my plan!?!?!
First Day of School- Play BRAVE by Sarah Bareilles, talk about my quote "I will ALWAYS be BRAVE", and then have students answer questions about being BRAVE. I want my students to know I expect them to be BRAVE. They must try even if they fail. That is how they learn!

Here is the book list I have included in the ROCK ON Inspirational Quote package. Click on the picture to grab it for FREE!

  4. Glad you were able to turn that frown upside down! I love the idea of having students analyze a song lyric right from the beginning of school. Plus, the Brave music video on GoNoodle is really cute!
